QuickBooks Solopreneur

QuickBooks Solopreneur is the Inuit product that replaces QuickBooks Self-Employed. The products are very similar, except for a few differences that I will discuss in this article.

If you are looking for a quick recommendation on an entry level (low cost) QuickBooks product, I recommend that you choose QuickBooks Online - Simple Start, for the following reasons.

  • QuickBooks Solopreneur reporting is limited to profit and loss reporting. You do not have the option to create a Balance Sheet in the product or any of the many reports that are available in higher tier QuickBooks products.

  • QuickBooks Simple Start gets you access to Contractor management and 1099 compliance from QuickBooks.
